I am giving this unit two stars because I bought it specifically for its ability to play MP3 files from a flash drive. Sometimes it works. In most cases this is not the case. It's having trouble reading MP3s from my discs. My only other complaint is that the volume doesn't drop low enough. This won't be a problem at home, but I use it in a quiet environment (my office). It barely drops enough not to disturb co-workers or hear important phone calls. I have to turn it off The only thing I don't like is that it beeps every time you press one of the buttons. Not a big deal if I use it at home. But it's not all bad. It works well as a radio and clock. Thanks to the battery, I can move it across the table or take it to lunch. And I can connect my iPod to it and use it as an external speaker on my other devices. However, I bought it specifically to store my music collection on flash drives at the office without worrying about my iPod batteries dying or someone stealing my iPod. It's a decent radio with lots of features and I'd give it 4 or 5 stars if only it played MP3s from a flash drive flawlessly.
