Very important. The size corresponded to the size of the jeans. I'm sure it will stretch a bit with use.

They are a little tight in the hips and a bit long, I think I'm sure you can cut them to the perfect length. I cut about an inch and it worked great. The skin feels firm, not thin. The belt doesn't look like leather but in the leg area I felt protected from both the effects of a fall and the elements like cold wind and rain. For this price I will definitely buy and recommend!
