Review on NETGEAR Wi Fi Range Extender EX8000 Networking Products by Sri Mims

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Easy setup, same SSID as router, incredible range.

Here's what happened. I bought two WiFi security cameras and installed them at the end of my house on the street, with the Nighthawk router about 100 feet upstairs. The signal must reach the floor and 7 walls. Guess what? My Amcrest Wifi cameras were not working. I knew they wouldn't work, but I hoped the Nighthawk's staid range router would surprise me. I decided to look for a repeater because I already had holes drilled in the walls for cameras (idiot). I found this one and I love how it keeps the same WiFi network name as your own router, you don't need to change passwords, it can only extend the range of your router, no nonsense to log in somewhere else on the other to have side. your house, it's the same as yours. I watched a few videos on YouTube of how people liked how strong it is so I decided to give it a try. Sat down and taken to the garage. It was easy to set up, but will it work? The garage is very far from the router and a wall from the cameras and once it came up it had a perfect signal from my router and the cameras which worked and worked perfectly, INCREDIBLE. Years ago when Range Extended first came out I tried them, they failed, but it's a completely different game. Bought a second one for the other side of the house. I will now add more cameras. What I don't like is that it's big, it takes a long time to load, about three minutes. Everything is worth it, including the price tag.
