The yarn has obvious cuts/knots and has been knitted together. Yarn quality imperfection, some parts of the yarn sometimes look "notched" leaving a roughness in my stitch----the roughness looked like it was a problem or a pull you might get after a lot of use when the stitch was finished. If you are making a large piece, e.g. B. a blanket, there is no way to establish a Russian connection. There is no "core" in the yarn, so this method is out and you have to make a magic knot etc. that shows the knots in your work *or* start the yarn at the end of the row. If you start at the end of the row you will lose a lot of yarn and the ends may loosen over time. I started making a couch sized blanket for someone out of this Christmas present, but due to imperfections and the fact that a good "join" is not an option for my seams, I'm going back. The kicker for me was a knot in the yarn. One positive thing I can say about him is that he is very, very soft. For a small item like a scarf, etc., you can make an item that doesn't bother you with knots. But I was only halfway through and about to do my first major knotting and twine cutting, but the skein errors were only just beginning in my work. If Bernat could control the quality of this yarn I would buy it for its softness. But encountering so many imperfections is too frustrating and too expensive. I'd have more finesse on a 99 cent ball. At around $8 per skein, making a large blanket is expensive, and with yarn this expensive, you shouldn't have these kinds of flaws. It's a real shame, it's very soft and the dark gray is a nice color. I just can't pay that much for imperfect yarn.
