You get water!

I really wanted to love these stones they are so cute. Unfortunately I regret my purchase. Pros: + Good size for a child. + My kid likes to knock them over when I build towers. They are not as soft as I expected, very hard (there was no way a small child could squeeze them hard enough to make a squeak). - Too hard for the teeth, my child never puts them in the mouth. He is also completely uninterested in the balls that go with it (almost 6 months). Forms that are intended to be nested usually do not work. together. THE WORST: You can't get water out of them. The tweeter hole is raised on the inside of the block to retain water. When I got them, I filled the sink with hot, soapy water and poured them in; I rinsed and rinsed them (I didn't wring them out under water or try to intentionally soak them in water). Each had water inside when I shook them, even after leaving them in a towel (hole at bottom) all day. In the end I decided to cut a small hole in the corner of each block to let the water out and prevent mold from growing (see video for reference). I tried just poking a hole with a tool, but this material is so dense that the hole closed pretty shallow and the water was still trapped. They have to be recycled.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • No machine
