Good external caliper. The battery does not fall out like the last one (different brand). The jaws are large enough to fit the size of my skull, which is useful for helmet crafting. The grip feels good, but I would have preferred a metal lever over a plastic lever. On the positive side, if the operating lever fails, it can easily be replaced with one made of metal that we have manufactured ourselves. It remains to be seen if this device will outlast the last outdoor digital caliper I bought, which also stopped working (in addition to ejecting the battery holder on the spur of the moment) after six months of light use, but I have no reason to believe this habit.
