This product needs to be adapted for use with water. The seal between the two parts is incomplete because the reservoir is too small, or the feeder part is too large, or possibly both. I used aquarium safe silicone to press it into the feeder to ensure a tighter fit. I have 4 finches and in front of my setup all the water drained in 3 hours. After fitting, no water leaked out and one filling was enough for 5 days. I have since decided to try a sticky foam in the feeder area to allow the tank to rest on top of the foam and create a seal as once the silicone has cured it will separate from the feeder area and I will have to reseal it. You really need to devote yourself to your birds to do your best to seal this product to keep water from leaking out after a few hours.
