Perfect for my use case

I wanted to downsize my movie collection without getting rid of everything. This allows me to slide the DVD case off the front and store multiple DVDs. Now they fit perfectly in the container on my shelf. This is a good alternative to just throwing everything in one folder. Also, I've found that they work just as well for older CD games. I couldn't part with some of my older games, but they might come with a manual/cover and some CDs.
