When this tape arrived I was a bit disappointed because it looked really yellow. I would compare the color to cheap fake gold colored plastic kids toys. But this is what it looks like on a roll when it is wound layer by layer. It's actually a clear band, so the gold hue is actually quite nice. In the photo he is tied to a black bag with red tissue paper and everything is going well. I want the center of the roll to be cardboard instead of foam. I've never seen tape with a foam core, but it seems to me that cardboard spools also have sides to keep the tape flat so it doesn't just unwrap all the way.
