I have a small mix breed with obviously odd sizes. She weighs 5 pounds, neck 9 inches, chest 14 inches and 11 inches from collar to base of tail. I ordered xs as suggested to make sure the bust size is correct but the neck is so stiff and bulky she hates putting it on. I made an AV in the collar through the neck seam which was better but taking it off is still like giving birth .due to the length of the coat it doesn't reach to the tail but that's ok .the best thing about this jacket is the closure system .so fast and comfortable!generally i would not buy this jacket for my dog without taking the measurement of the neck as the main thing, i would send it back but cut it off. Well, then measure your dog.
