Excellent tool for slicing melon chunks, honeydew, etc. Simply cut the melon in half. Place the melon half in the sink or on a cutting board (I prefer the sink. The juice makes it less messy). Use the green part to scoop out the seeds and slice into the sides like a grapefruit. Metal sticks are cut crosswise into bite-sized melon pieces. Remove the melon pieces and discard half of the melon rind. It is easier and safer to cut a melon for people with hand problems due to arthritis or a nerve condition. The pens fold up for easy storage. Not too much of this gadget but it works.
