The sphere is a bit too small, causing the GPS module to slip into position at the slightest vibration of the car. But the gadget sticks so well in the CD player that I was dying to use it, so I tore off a piece of paper, wrapped it around the ball and taped my GPS to it, and now it sticks even on bumpy roads. If it slips in the future I will use a thicker sheet of paper. I would still recommend this unit because it actually contains a CD player and every other unit I've used falls off the dash.
