Perfect for my needs. I've moved to the country and other plant labels don't seem to hold up to the elements. I wish the dial could go back if you accidentally missed a letter. You have to type everything backwards, but that's not a problem. The metal strap is quite thin, so be careful not to cut yourself on the edge. If the metal were thicker, it would be impossible to press. The tape machine will be difficult for a person with arthritis in their hands. This tape recorder works great. Let's hope DYMO doesn't stop making metal straps. He makes professional looking plant labels.
