I have three backlit white birches (4ft/6ft/8ft) from three different companies. I was only going to buy one (the tallest) but I fell in love with the magical effect these trees create so I added one and then another. I'm very happy with all of them, but each of them has strengths and weaknesses that I should talk about. 8 Foot Lightshare Tree with 132 LED Mini Lights: This is a beautifully shaped tree with long, overhanging branches. It's the tallest but has the fewest lights (average 16.5 per foot). However, it provides good atmospheric lighting. In other words, it doesn't look barren in the world, but it won't replace a lamp either. It is well packaged with no protruding supports or lumps in the construction. The only downside is that the white bark is almost pure white, not the creamy white of a real birch. Also, the black lines on the bark are too similar in size, length, and color to look real again. I don't see that as a big problem because the tree still looks beautiful. 6 Foot Lamp Tree with 240 Mini LEDs: This tree has more branches than an 8 foot tree, but they are shorter. I prefer the 8 foot tree shape, but this tree is still attractive and better suited to where it's standing. So if you are short on width space, this is a good choice. It's definitely the brightest of my three trees (40 LEDs per foot average) and really works as a cool lamp in a room where I don't want a floor lamp. If you're looking for a subtle atmosphere, I recommend a 6ft light from Lightshare (72 LEDs total). The tree is well made as is Lightshare and its biggest selling point is the bark finish which looks amazingly realistic, best of my three trees. 4 FT LIGHT UP TREE WITH 200 LED LIGHTS: The tree is long and looks great on a 12 square inch table in a room too small and full of things to put a tree on the floor. Although it has the most lights per foot (50 on average), it's not as bright as my seven-foot tree because the string lights are smaller than the mini lights. It's just as well made as the other two, and as far as the bark goes, it's almost as realistic as the Lamphome tree. The only thing stopping her from looking as real as possible is the fact that the lights are wrapped around the limbs with silver wire, which is especially visible in broad daylight. It's not a problem for me because the room it's in doesn't get much natural light and the tree is small. However, I wouldn't buy this tree bigger because the wires are more visible then. General Comments: If you have space, choose an 8-foot tree. Other sizes just can't create the same presence and look pathetic in a large room. Also, this big tree is stronger because it weighs more. (The 4ft and 6ft are very light.) If you have the space, trees with longer, curving branches will be more elegant. Decide on the number of lights according to your purpose. If your goal is simply to create atmosphere, stay away from trees, which average over 30 mini LED lights per foot. If you want to use wood as a light source, use more. As I said at the beginning, I am happy with all three trees because each one meets a different need; but if i only had one it would be an 8 foot lightshare tree. The only downside is the appearance of the bark, which I can easily repair with a few small bottles of acrylic craft paint and a tiny brush for less than $5 if it ever gets boring enough to make up my mind.
