Great shaver! I used a double-edged razor in high school, in college, and for the first 15 years of my marriage. I don't know why I gave up the old Gillette and switched to their dual sensor blade, but I went back to the dual blade and love it. This is quite a heavy razor and I find it very comfortable to use. The twist lock holds the blade in place and the blade fits very snugly to the head. The only criticism is the supplied blades. Gillette Blue's old blades were better. The ones the razor came with reached out and gave me a terrible razor burn. Instead, I recommend Feather Hi-Stainless blades.9/22 Want to avoid cuts and razor burn? I've found that if I let the weight of the razor do its job and take my time, I can get a great shave. If you insist on it, as most people do, you will get irritation and lacerations. I've used a dual-blade cartridge razor for years and have found that I have to press pretty hard and make multiple passes over the same area to get a close shave. There were days when the dual blade gave me a few cuts, but that only happened when I was in a hurry to shave.
