I paid $35 for this gigabit wifi router through a seller on the ASavings marketplace. Item arrived on time and as described, brand new factory sealed DLink AC 1200 dual band router, broadcasting in the 2.4 & 5GHz bands. I haven't gone into all the details yet, but it took me about 5 minutes to set it up and get it up and running by simply logging into the router through a web browser. The router comes with firmware 1.08 which can be updated with the newer firmware 1.10 from the DLink website. It's also the A1 hardware version of this router (not the B1 version), meaning it comes with the Broadcom chipset rather than the less desirable MediaTek. It should also be able to be flashed with alternative DD-WRT firmware, but I haven't done it yet. I ran some initial speed tests at home today and the results were much faster than my previous N class WiFi router, both in the 2.4GHz band (which is pretty congested where I live) and in the 5GHz band. GHz band that's wide open there I live because practically nobody around me uses 5 GHz yet. Overall, this deal seems like a great buy to upgrade your home WiFi to the latest AC class WiFi standard. There are other AC Wi-Fi routers that are newer and even faster, but you'll have to pay $100-$200 or more if you want to get a brand new one. PSs - #1 Of course, to take advantage of an AC wireless router, you need devices that can receive data in the AC range, such as B. the Revain Fire TV. #2 Gigabit means the router's wired LAN connections can support Ethernet data rates up to 1000Mbps, which is 10 times faster than the previous 100Mbps LAN standard.
