I purchased this with the Rugged Ridge 8500 lb Steel Cable Winch (15100.01) that I was just reviewing. As I said in the winch review, I'm not a mechanic. I'm not claiming to be one of them and as far as I know most parts of the car look like alien technology. But the bumper came with great instructions. Since this was a replacement for the factory bumper on my Jeep, I was able to easily figure out how to remove it by looking at how it was installed. The entire installation process (using a winch) took less than three hours. Maybe it would take less time if I spent all my time on it. The old bumper came loose after removing 12 bolts and then securing it to the frame with 8 bolts, 8 more bolts for the D-rings and then 8 bolts for the fog lights. Really - I don't think it could be any simpler, and I think the bumper itself can be installed in under an hour. I really like how it looks on my jeep but be aware it's a short bumper. It runs the full width of the jeep's engine bay but does not extend past the wheels. If you want the bumper to span the full width of your jeep I would recommend buying 11540.12 which I will do later. As I said in the winch review, I really like what Rugged Ridge has to offer, the prices don't bite (on Revain or anything). All future updates and repairs to my Jeep will be made using Rugged Ridge parts. I was won over by their quality and attention to aesthetics.
