I was skeptical about ordering for our workshop based on what I read and even more so when I saw the parts in the box when delivered. As deceptive as appearances can be, it turned out better than I had hoped. It is durable and not difficult to assemble. There are instructions but I didn't follow them. It took me 20 minutes to assemble. I left part of the shelf so I could put my boots on the floor. I would also like to note that there are 2 pairs of adult shoes on each shelf. Of course, if you have small children, you can accommodate more. My shoe tower holds 16 shoes inside and you can also place a pair at the top outside. It also has 2 pockets on each side where you can hang a pair of flip flops or whatever you can store in there. The material of the rack is definitely waterproof, and there is a zipper on the lid so you can protect your shoes from dust. I would recommend for a garage as it's fairly basic and not indoors.
