They are really good for use on lakes or rivers, they offer good protection for your lower foot when hitting small to medium sized rocks, the top that covers your foot is made of soft Material spandex. The material overall gives you a really comfortable, snug feel and the bottom rubber is very flexible. I'm a US size 8, when I tried them on they were about 1/4 inch above my toe. The good thing is that you can return your items for free. I ended up getting US size 7.5 and it fit perfectly. I also have a pair for my wife and she loves them.
