I’m new to dip powders. I have used this kit about 5-6 times hoping my mani would look better each time. I’ve watched countless videos and I’m pretty good with giving myself a regular manicure. But, I don’t think it’s user error and I think it’s the liquids that are poor quality. I’m careful with the base application, but my nail will have patchy spots after dipping. It is still lumpy even after buffing. Also, the nail looks grainy after buffing. The top coat isn’t as shiny as a gel polish. Shown in the image is 3 coats of dip color and 2 top. There is a smell, but it didn’t give me dip flu. It would be ideal to do this outdoors on the deck/patio if you are sensitive to the fumes and weather allows. I will be trying other brands of dip liquids in the hopes of getting a salon quality mani at home.
