My son is obsessed with time and numbers. He also 4.5 so chores and limitations are a fight. I decided to try these plastic hour glasses and they really took off in my home. We have a 3 minute brush teeth, a 10 minutes play before bed, a 30 minutes poop and an 1 hr video game one. They work so well I had to buy some for my mothers house we visit too. He gets to even pick his colors which is nice. My only complaint and reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is I occasionally have had the sand stop falling. I have to shake device to get it to start again. Which for our purposes is fine but heaven forbid it is the 4 year old who finds out it stopped dropping sand. he gets up in arms about it. So not perfect at timing if that's a concern.
