I want to love it, but I don’t want to have to re-finish it it order to love it. The gaps in the finish in the picture aren’t dust. I had already wiped it off after getting a nasty splinter trying to take it out of the bubble wrap. It’s not the lovely sheen from the pictures. The kids love the game & want to keep it but I’m on the fence. I hate poly & this clearly needs another coat. Are the crosshatches on the top saw marks? It looked smooth & sanded in all the pictures.
