I really liked the look of this item for my new spa style bathroom and was looking forward to it. I was expecting the item to be a bit bigger and sturdier. And when actually inserting tampons, I was disappointed with the small capacity it can hold. The design is VERY cute, I love the domed plastic lid and I love that the "petals" are actually 3 different pieces of rubber stacked inside each other with tiered large holes in each piece. So if you remove the top petals, a few more tampons will fit; Remove 2 petals and then a few more, but of course you lose the appearance of a flower or a fuller flower. Since my family uses tampons every day, it takes longer to fill them up. You can simply force the use of tampons out of the closet from the original packaging and use the lotus container only as a decoration.
