95 minute installation to body and fairing

This product looks good; Let's see how it wears now that it's in place. The product is slightly thinner than the OEM material it replaces. However, this is NOT an easy install. My comments relate to installing the center console cover on a 2014 Honda Pilot. There are TEN screws to loosen, not two as stated in the online description. There are four screws for the bottom support. Once removed, press near the latch and the bottom support will easily detach from the cover. There are four screws that need to be removed from the hinge. This allows the upper part to be completely removed for maintenance. There are two screws holding the latch and these need to be removed. The next step is to remove the 80 PLUS clips holding the leather case. A pair of needle nose pliers will help, as will a set of rectangular needle nose pliers. Many staples break. Don't run your finger over the edge - you'll cut yourself on the leftovers. After the old material is removed, position the new material so there is enough overlap to attach all four sides. The product is wide enough. But to be honest he could have used an extra 1/2 inch of length. This would make the installation much easier. The main difficulty is trying to pin it to the plastic. I have three different manual staplers and none of them were able to properly secure the 1/4" staple in the plastic. I used a powerful DeWalt stapler with maximum settings. It takes one out of every three sewing attempts. Others break or just don't work. Once the product is protected, reinstallation is easy. The hinge has guides so it's easy to reinstall. The latch only fits one way. The bottom support only fits one way. The total time for the amateur was 95 minutes from start to finish. Not bad, but not the "two screws" described on the internet. The biggest challenge was to attach the new product to the old plastic. Done - the product looks absolutely top notch - no different than the OEM product when you bought the car. Let's see how it will wear.
