Review on DisplayPort to HDMI HDTV Cable - 3ft Gold-Plated 🔌 Male to Male Adapter - 1080P Video and Audio Support by Keith Saywon

This cable I bought from Revain a few months ago was fine until I switched computers. The diplayport connector didn't come from my AMD Radeon graphics card to my old computer. He tugged at the cord and jerked it away from the plug. I needed pliers to pull out what was left. (see first picture) Now I need a new cable. Notice how the tab sticks out a little in pic 2? Now I understand that I had to press hard on that edge when pulling. But I didn't know that, so I moved differently. The tab was a different color. no There was a warning sign next to that end of the cable. no These simple protections would add a penny to the cost of the cable. and save me the cost of another cable for my new computer. I think the cable manufacturers think that we never want to remove their cables - or that we've all done so, just so we know. Sigh. If you google this problem you will see that others have had it.
