So, the hat itself is very beautiful. It's soft, warm and not too thick but the smell is wow! I don't know if it was a comeback or not, but when it arrived it looked brand new. The smell was terrible. I've had things that smell bad before and sometimes the manufacturer wants them to smell nice but wow that was bad. It was difficult to wear a hat without trying to rip it off your head. I'm not a person sensitive to smells or anything, so that should tell you it was really off-putting. The cap is still beautiful and looks just like cashmere. It's softer than cotton and wool, which I also have. Odor. It's been in the cleaner for two days now. I hope this helps reduce bad perfume choices. I haven't noticed anyone reporting this yet, but I'll let you know.
