I have tried making sugar wax from time to time, out of 8 times only 2 have been really effective. (Even in effective attempts, the leftovers were never used.) So I decided that cooking with sugar wax just wasn't something I was good at, and decided to finally try and buy something more professional than my home cooking. Well, to my disappointment, it was just as ineffective for me. Since it seemed malleable enough, I tried using it without heating it on the first try. It didn't work, leaving a sticky lump on the skin. On the second try, I microwaved it for 20 seconds, it thinned, stirred up a bit, applied and still a sticky mess on my skin. Thought maybe I'm doing something wrong? So I looked up the person on YouTube using it, as she explained, although I felt like I was putting on a thin layer, I found I was probably making it thicker than necessary. So I tried to get the thinnest layer I could get. no matter where the hair sticks out. The wax adhered much better to the wax strip leaving a minimal amount of wax on my skin but the hair didn't come off. I think all I can do with it now is eat it, so it wasn't a waste of money. (Very tasty, just a bit pricey for a food product.)
