I have this to hold my iPad so I can look at reference photos while I paint. It's big enough to keep up with my easel. The mount holds the iPad securely even when I hold it parallel to the floor. I wish the pan head could be clamped with just one tilt adjuster instead of three different thumbscrews for pan, tilt and pan, but it works. It's a very light plastic but strong enough for my needs. It would be great to have a hook under your head to hang your sandbag on so it doesn't tip over if the iPad's angle is completely off-center.
