I paired this with a fairly simple navy dress and was amazed to see how it instantly transformed into an evening-ready gown. One issue I had was that the dress I wanted to use it with was high-waisted, but this really wants to sit at your natural waistline, so I had trouble keeping it in place. I would have to stitch it in to really keep it at the waistline, and if you're wearing this for an important event like a wedding, be prepared to sew it in. I also had trouble getting it tight enough by myself. You almost need 3 hands to tie it tight enough, because at the last moment of tying the bow knot, the knot loosens a bit. The third hand could help hold it together so it wouldn't do that. For all these issues, it's really a dramatic look and perfect for any day (or evening) when you want to look like a princess. Very lovely.
