After years of looking for a way to convert my huge record collection into CDs and spending too much money on it, I finally found it. This system is inexpensive. and ridiculously easy to use. You could probably buy each part separately, but you'd be spending the same amount or even more - and you're actually buying software. Imagine buying conversion software and getting a free turntable (with preamp), disc cleaning brush and solution. The software isn't great, but so far all I've had to do is plug the RCA cables into the laptop. Start the LP, press the record button in the software and save the file at the end. I didn't really delve into mixing or special effects. Then I burn a CD and voila, my record is converted. It's not a high-tech system, but it suits me.
