Review on πŸ”Œ MUSTART Level 2 Portable EV Charger: 240V Plug-in EV Charging Station with NEMA 14-50P and 25ft Cable (Update Version) by Sal Muniz

Works great with tools and equipment

When I plug it into a Leaf it charges about 27 amps (6.6kW). When I plug it into a Tesla Model 3 it jumps to 40 amps. No questions. There is no heat. no noise The cable is very thick and of good quality. The fork that goes in the car is a bit stiff compared to the stock fork, but not so much that it matters. If it were a problem I'd probably sand it down a bit to loosen it up, but it's very minor so it's not necessary. No regrets about this charger! I mounted the socket upside down so that a single half-loop fits into the plug rather than a tight S-shape. I wasn't impressed with the chunky brackets they brought with them for wall mounting. Instead I went to the hardware store and bought a small twin hook to support the bottom of the unit and a spring loaded bracket for the top (originally intended to hang the broom by the handle). It works great and is very durable, but you can easily take it off if you want.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • I won't say anything
