My husband needed something for his work truck to hold a water bottle or coffee mug. He said it works great. I've tried the magnet on my stainless steel appliances and it slipped off, but not on a stainless steel microwave, which is thicker steel and wouldn't slip off with a full water bottle. I think it just depends on where you put it, how hard/thick it is, but it doesn't move where he parked his work cart! The goalkeeper!
