Review on 🎧 Sony WF-XB700 Wireless Earbuds with Mic for Phone Calls - Extra Bass, Bluetooth, Black by Mike Hernandez

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great buy Best in earphones

I just received the Sony WF-XB700 in-ear headphones (blue) and I'm impressed. I've read several reviews of these headphones and I'm glad I have them. So here's what I think: Fit: To be honest, they're oddly comfortable. They're a little big, like the Bose Sound Sport Free (which I also have), but they don't feel heavy. When I first saw them I thought they were so-so. The Bose has a silicone wing for a secure fit, and I think the Sony fits my ear better. Sound: Oh bass. it's so cool I've played lots of songs from AC/DC to ZZ Top and the sounds were fantastic (using Prime Music to randomly check a few genres). The bass does not drown out the mids and highs. It's cramped and noisy, but not dirty. It should be noted that this depends on the song. For example I heard Elvis and there was bass, but not like in other songs. It didn't sound complete, but that was to be expected given the age and the record. Controls: The headphones have button controls. People complain that I don't have touch controls, but I do have touch controls and I find myself playing/pausing/adjusting the volume as I move them to fit my ear. I'm comfortable with the buttons and they work perfectly. Quality: Hard plastic case - feels a bit cheap but feels sturdy when squeezed, and the hinge is cool (to be honest you have to open it up to see what I mean). The cover is translucent so you can see the charging indicators, which is cool - 3 indicators (one for each earbud and one for the battery). USB-C charging is a plus. It takes approximately 2 1/2 hours to fully charge the case with a dead/dead battery. People complain about the lack of wireless charging, but I charge by cable so I don't care. Headphones are also made of high-quality plastic. It comes with 3 extra ear tips of different sizes. Other: One thing the WF-XB700 can't do is connect to the Sony app. My Bose has an app and the only thing I use it for is bud updates as it doesn't have EQ settings either. While it would be nice to be able to change the equalizer settings through the Sony app, I have the equalizer settings on my Galaxy S9+. For me this is not a decisive factor, but it would be nice to have this feature. Price/Overall: At $130 I think it's great value for money. It might lack some features that some people prefer, but I bought them for the sound and they didn't disappoint.
