Does exactly what it says on the box. The hose is attached at one end, the other end is screwed into an electric valve, and Bob is your uncle. I've used them with a 12v Arduino controlled valve and they worked great. Which is to be expected given that these are very simple devices. I mean, I don't ask her to clean my cat or make toast or anything.
