My only real complaint is that the way that the battery is recharged is inconvenient: You have to open the battery door, take out the depleted battery pack (which has a very short connector), charge it and then reattach it. It would have been really nice if you could just plug the battery charger into a port underneath and leave the battery pack where it is.As for the battery pack, it takes 4 to 5 hours to charge and provides play for less than 30 minutes. It's a NiCad battery, which has the "memory effect". I found a way around this by replacing the battery pack with a 4-AA battery holder, wired it to the built-in connector and used 600maH 1.2V (don't use regular AA because they are 1.5v, which will be too much voltage) NiMH batteries which do not have the memory effect. The bus itself is great in every way. The doors and stop sign are controllable, as is the horn. Starts up like a real bus and has headlights and even turn signals. My son loves it, and with the modifications it can be re-used right away (I just grab 4 more already-charge batteries from the charger).
