I have given the pipe cleaners 5 stars for their performance. As a fun man, I prefer the crinkled look over styles. Unfortunately, my hair can't handle the braids required for this look. To me, braids are thin roots, even if they're not tightly braided. I put them on Sunday night and took them off on Monday. My curls came out full and curly. I haven't rolled them tightly or sprayed them with hold. I didn't want them to look feminine. I'm a man to Pete. They work wonders for women with curls or braids; You can curl them tightly and wear them as a hairstyle for up to 2-3 weeks. After you pull them out, the curls will become tight and loosen over time (you can manipulate the curls and loosen them to your liking). With them you can literally live up to 5-6 weeks. I recommend pipe cleaners rather than rollers, rods, or braids (if you want full body curls) for braid wearers and my fellow trappers. They come in a variety of colors if you have colored hair.
