I normally use a curling iron but I sprained my wrist and the iron was too heavy and the strain meant I couldn't rotate the curling iron. These curlers are lightweight and hold my slightly longer than short hair perfectly. It gave me the soft curls I needed and because of the multiple sizes, I had the perfect sizes for all my hair lengths. It was also nice that the curlers held my hair in place without the use of hair clips which would have been very difficult for me. You don't really appreciate your dominant hand until you have to give it up.
