This was our third bluetooth car adapter. The first was a gooseneck version of the cigarette lighter. While it worked well, the gooseneck left the main body of the device in an awkward position. We have never found a suitable place for it that would be clearly visible and would not interfere with such important functions of the car as the gear shift. The second was a socket-sized version of the cigarette lighter. This worked well too, but the size meant the phone and volume buttons were very small and located on the side of the adapter. It's not very easy to reach it while driving. The LIHAN bluetooth adapter is the best of the three bluetooth adapters we bought. Its size is perfect for our car and the phone button is in a very visible and accessible area of the device. We particularly like the easy way to adjust the volume by turning the phone knob. The device connects easily to our phones via Bluetooth, and the sound of the radio is excellent, clear sound and no static electricity. We paired the device with the Google Android Auto app, which upgraded our old car to modern car models. We use the app to integrate Google Maps, phone functionality and our favorite music app in one easy-to-use interface. We can select and play music, switch to the Google map for directions and the music keeps playing. Step-by-step instructions pause the music when needed. When a call comes in, the caller ID will be played so you can answer the call. Outgoing calls can be made with the voice command "Ok Google". We've even found that incoming text messages are played and you have the option to reply to them with your voice. Overall we are very happy with this Bluetooth adapter in combination with the Android Auto app. We definitely recommend this device for adding cool new features to an old car.
