Provides some protection for electronics
My house is old so many outlets only have 2 prong sockets. With this extension cord, I can extend one of those outlets to use small things like a space heater, an essential oil diffuser, and some LED lights. Just like a grounded outlet, for example, it provides another layer of protection compared to an ungrounded two-prong outlet without surge protection. It's a simple thing, but it solves a common household problem. Many Thanks.
