Review on 💧 Pentek DGD 5005 20 Gradient Polypropylene Cartridge: Ultimate Filtration for Superior Water Purification by Bill Snyder

I love this Pentek Dual Gradient Filter. My current whole house filtration system only uses two boxes, so I need to remove as much as possible from the pre-filter to prevent clogging my second stage, which is a carbon block. This Pentek appears to be 80% 25 micron filter material with a little 1 micron closer to the center which is perfect for me. The area I live in has extremely high levels of iron and sludge due to the age of the supply line and one of these 20 inch filters will typically last about 60 days before turning completely orange and dripping dirty water after being removed from the housing has been removed. I've already tried multi-gradient filters, but they usually don't last longer than 30 days, after which I have problems with the print. And when I use a 1 micron class filter, it just collects a huge amount of dirt on the surface and I start to lose pressure within a week or so.
