Review on πŸŽ‚ Birthday Dollhouse Miniature Furniture by ROBOTIME by Harry Ashcraft

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Katie's greenhouse. However, nothing for absolute beginners. Good

This review is for Cathy's Greenhouse and not other Robotime kits. Cons: 1. Not for complete newbies who don't read product descriptions. I would rate it as good for beginners (who want to learn) to intermediate but not advanced. Experts will rightly turn their backs on him. It's a little rough but fun.2. Batteries are not included. But that is clear from the product description, so I have nothing to complain about.3. This is a complex set that will require time, patience and dedication. And understanding that you can steam down and unpack some of the details. (Yes, I have a few warped parts.) 4. It would be nice to add some more paper and floral wire so beginners can make mistakes. It's just over 1:24. This is a metric. But it can be adjusted. Pros: 1. All the parts were there but it took some time to find them.2. This is a great tutorial on how to make small boxes and bags - in a variety of ways.3. This is an awesome mini paper flower and plant making workshop. Differing. And the prints are great. Honest opinion: I bought this for my husband at half price for Christmas and it was well worth it. I'm not sure I would pay full price. First of all, I bought it to "break into" the artist's studio with plants. I made one of each plant. Also accessories. Those that are very out of scale (by my standards) I have discarded and replaced with my own creations. Other (smaller) ones I saved for other projects. Accessories (furniture, plants and flowers) are a simple piece with simple instructions. Assembling a real greenhouse was awkward because there were no instructions. And I'm not new to kits and can usually figure things out. That took longer than usual! The greenhouse is where this one lost its star. But overall a great set.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
