Bought this as a gift for a friend who is moving into his first 'good' apartment. To be honest everyone needs one of these. If you assemble Ikea furniture, this is what you need. If you're ramming things into walls, you need this. It works like a normal hammer, but is much less dangerous because it's made of rubber instead of metal. This way you can hit a wall and if you miss you won't get through to the next page. The same applies to flat-packing furniture with your own hands. I have one of these and it's one of the oldest instruments I own, it's 27 years old. It's one of the tools that gets packed in the car when moving because a) I don't want to rummage through boxes to find it and b) I don't want the movers to steal it! I'm not kidding, I had to pick it up once when the movers "accidentally" put it in their bag. Take one, give one.
