Was hoping for a quality product with a great fit having bought from Lorpen in the past. Unfortunately they sent me a product made out of hard, prickly material - hard to believe it even contains merino, Lorpen synthetic socks are softer. Worse, these socks have such a tight calf band that no serious 12-foot skier can wear them comfortably - they're strictly for the skinny-footed, which isn't the case for most people who typically order ultra-lightweight ski socks for racing. . Finally, the socks were attached to the packaging by sewing four pieces of each sock together (keeping them folded together) - an acceptable method if the makeshift seams were cleaned up, but the socks I received didn't have them: even after carefully cutting each Sew at a sufficient distance from the socks and pull out with tweezers, the end in the sock caught in the other threads, and when the sock was pulled on, a hole about the size of a fingertip was created. Lorpin has done great things. Apparently not anymore.
