This camera captures beautiful photos with amazing clarity. Color reproduction is incredible - far better than my mirrorless DSLR, which has the typical cold, washed-out lifelessness of standard digital cameras, regardless of price or white balance setting. The only problem is that I bought it as a travel camera. and the screen was shattered the FIRST time I traveled with it. I wasn't even on the plane; She crashed into my padded backpack as she got in and out of the car while being wrapped in a sweater and placed on top of everything else. Due to its inexplicable fragility, I would not recommend this camera to anyone interested in outdoor photography and backpacking. , etc. It's probably normal if you're very careful with it, or maybe I've been very unlucky. Screen repairs cost over $250, which is crazy. Update: This is now the worst camera I've ever had. Things that broke: - The screen broke the first time I traveled with it in a padded bag - The viewfinder shutter broke leaving it permanently open and unable to use the electronic viewfinder until I put foil on the viewfinder window. Eventually, the shutter button inexplicably popped out and wouldn't stay together, rendering the camera completely unusable. I just smashed the remaining broken piece of worthless plastic with a hammer and will NEVER buy a Fuji camera again.
