not all copper, despite what it says.

So I just received this and wasn't too surprised to see that it was actually copper clad aluminum. A very good cable for the price. But it is described as "oxygen-free copper" and there is no mention that it is CCA. Fortunately, I've decided to get serious about cables. I COULD stock my amps with quality 4 gauge copper, but I went with 1/0 simply for safety and vertical mobility. This cable is also significantly smaller than 1/0. should be. but more than 4. Definitely around 2. But then again the price was right and I got what I paid for. I'm sure it will be good for my use. EDIT: It's possible this is tinned copper and not CCA. The wires are NOT copper colored so I'm assuming it's tinned copper. I have access to an XRF device that can tell me for certain what is in this cable and once I can use it I will edit this again with a hard answer to this question. Two gold ring clamps I bought for my project. The conductor fits easily into the 1/0 gauge terminal, but ONLY fits the outside diameter (designed for insulation) of the 4 gauge terminal Well over 4 gauge, just under 1/0 gauge.
