Review on Exploring the Toughness of the G-Shock GG-1000: Features, Reviews, and More by Courtney Stone

Another home run for Casio (almost)!

Analog second hand serves as an electronic compass! The cool star spins to indicate the active feature! Two digital displays for time and information - unless it's around 10-2 or 7-8. At this time, huge arrows block part of the display (see photo). As usual, Casio packs a lot of technology on the wrist and then fails because of the backlight (see photo). The LED illuminates the analog hands well, but the LCD elements remain in the "dark". There are Japanese versions, brown or green versions, camouflage versions, limited or special editions, and negative or "reverse" display versions. There's a MudMaster ☺ to suit your taste, or you can even swap out the stripe for another of your choosing, let's say you prefer the desert tan over the forest green. It's not overly heavy and the wrist guards keep it from spinning around your wrist. All in all, it's still a great watch that commands attention!

Pros
  • Wide range
Cons
  • Small parts
