Review on 📦 Spyderco Ultra Benchstone Pouch, 1-Inch by Chris Hunt

I really, really, really like diamond and ceramic flap stones over the old oil stones. I don't think I ever learned how to handle oil stones; My friends can get extremely sharp edges with oil stones, but I can't seem to. Anyway, I went for the DMT diamond stone set and found that the ultra thin diamond stone is not as thin as I would have liked. I already had a small, pocket-sized Spyderco ceramic sharpener and used it with my diamond blades to get the sharp, mirror finish I was looking for. Finally decided to buy this 3" x 8" stone. Why 4 instead of 5 stars? The ceramic stone is not as flat as I thought/should be. There are "high" ledges on both sides of the stone. I was expecting these ridges to be on one side but not both. The "sanding marks" created during the manufacturing process "pop" really stand out with use, making it easy to see the ups and downs. With all of this, I still get a sharp, polished edge on my knives and such. Overall I am happy with my purchase. Maybe it's just my OCD, but I rate the product 4 stars!
