It Broke in 5 minutes!

BROKE IN FIRST 5MINS! Ordered via prime and as usual amazon arrived on time etc. We opened it up right away to make sure it was everything we had hoped. Our son was graduating high school and we built a 50 x 30 slip n slide and hoped to use the unicorn as the main feature. The instructions say it can be blown up with a hair dryer on low but there is no way the valve would allow for that. Thankfully we had an air mattress pump which worked great (no way you just blow this thing up without a pump). We had it blown up and standing in the livingroom for four days and it held the air just fine and things looked promising. On party day, we set everything up and we thought it was the perfect buy. We ran it for a couple minutes while we got it in the perfect position. At this point we were pretty psyched cause we never saw a unicorn being such a bad ass before. We turned off the water and went to the graduation ceremony. Upon our return it was go time but when we turned on the water nothing was spraying out the horn? We could hear water running and by the time we realized the internal plumbing failed there were gallons of water filling up the unicorn and begun to collapse the legs. With all my guest standing around laughing and mocking the Majestic steed as it crumbled before my very eyes my biggest regret was that I only purchased some pixie dust so I could disappear. It was impossible to fix while under pressure and with a dozen high schoolers all lubed up in baby shampoo we annouded the time of death at 7:36 PM EST. We went old school and did the whole thumb over the hose end thing. The unicorn had a chance to be an infamous part of a historic night. But all it ended up being was a $40 mistake heading to a landfill. So not feeling very good about the purchase. Save your money and go old school. Its just as much fun. Better for the environment and watching a unicorn slowly die is something you just can't un-see.

Pros
  • Gives parents and caregivers a break while keeping children entertained
Cons
  • It may not be suitable for those who don't have a large enough vehicle to transport it
