Review on Kaito KA900 Voyager Max Emergency Radio: Digital Solar Crank, AM/FM/SW, NOAA Weather, Bluetooth, Real-time Alert, MP3 Player, Recorder & Phone Charger by Joseph Quade

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Under the sun the glue for the colored part of the panel started to melt and now the panel is peeling off

My wife used the radio outdoors under the sun for several days and found that the glue for the solar panel had melted and the solar panel was now unattached. I originally rated it three stars but with this incident I have to downgrade. Poor solar charge---doesn't work as an emergency radio. Its dark design with no backlit switch makes it very difficult to operate in the dark. The handle is very poor in design. It was primarily designed to lock into the body when not in use, making it difficult to twist. Very bad design. The antenna is short and weak. I'm pretty sure it will break sooner or later. The reception is not the best, but acceptable. The MP3 player is not the best as it recognizes a music with two numbers and plays the music even after deleting it from the SD card. I have to reformat the SD card every time I change its contents. Can I recommend this radio to my friend? Answer Maybe not.
