its very thick! which is super helpfull in order to not bend your back at all! better than my breast friend for sure. only thing i would improve is the back strap which does not close small enough and the strap is too smooth so while wearing it it slowly slides looser and looser. so the back support could be better, but it does work - its tight enough to even stand up and walk around with the baby on it (supported by you obviously). just need to tighten the strap on each use. also my baby loves to fall asleep on his tummy on the the round side of it, nd i use it for tummy time as well! so its been usefull around here
